BECOME A HOST
Disclaimer for Temporary Shelter Guests
The IHC will never publish your name, address or personal information. Your Security and Privacy is our number one priority.
Your mission is to provide free, temporary shelter for displaced individuals who are seeking safety, protection, and a chance to rebuild their lives. You agree to offer a safe space through the generosity and therefore open your home to those in need.
However, we kindly ask all guests to understand and agree to the following terms during their stay:
-
Respect the Host & Their Home: Please treat the host, their property, and their beliefs with the utmost respect. This opportunity is built on trust and mutual care.
-
Follow House Rules: Each host has the right to set reasonable rules and boundaries. Violations of these rules may result in immediate removal or eviction.
-
Contribute Where Possible: Guests are expected to assist with basic daily tasks and contribute to the upkeep of the home.
-
Seek Employment or Stability: As this is a temporary arrangement, guests are encouraged to actively seek employment, local support resources, or long-term housing solutions.
-
Maintain Discretion: Please avoid drawing unwanted attention to the hospitality you are receiving. This helps protect both you and your host.
While you are under the care of one of our partner hosts, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. We are here to support your transition—but this is not a permanent residence.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and respect. Together, we can create a path toward safety, stability, and dignity for all.
